Our Story

Ascona Foundation was founded in 2006 by Ronald Esajas. The foundation began with sports programs for girls, based on the belief that sport can develop discipline, perseverance, leadership and teamwork.

Ascona later expanded its work into education, recognizing that knowledge and access to learning are essential for long-term development. Business development became the third pillar, with a focus on helping aspiring and small entrepreneurs turn their talents and ideas into sustainable economic opportunities.

Today, Ascona brings together sport, education and business to help people and communities move forward.
