Some projects are about much more than delivering supplies. They are about restoring hope, dignity, and quality of life.
After months of planning, fundraising, logistics, paperwork, transportation, and overcoming countless challenges, the Lifetime beds and mattresses have finally arrived at Huize LuNor in Coronie, Suriname. What began as an idea, supported by the generosity of many, has now become a reality.
Because of your support, elderly residents and vulnerable people now have something many of us take for granted: a safe, comfortable, and dignified place to rest.
On behalf of Ascona Foundation, STABECO, the management, staff, and residents of Huize LuNor, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to every donor, volunteer, sponsor, logistics partner, and everyone who contributed to making this project possible.
You didn’t simply donate beds. You brought hope. You restored dignity. You reminded us that compassion has the power to change lives.
This project is living proof that when people come together with a shared purpose, extraordinary things happen. But this is not the end — this is only the beginning. Together, we want to continue building sustainable projects that improve the lives of elderly people, children, and vulnerable communities throughout Suriname.

Samen Groeien — Growing Together
Learn · Play · Dream
Through Samen Groeien (“Growing Together”), Ascona Foundation brings sport and education together to give children in Suriname the chance to learn, play and dream. Teams of young players — boys and girls of all ages — train, grow and build confidence both on and off the field.
This initiative is built on passion, development and impact (Passie · Ontwikkeling · Impact), bringing together partners who share a commitment to youth development and stronger communities.
By combining sport, mentorship and access to opportunities, Samen Groeien helps young people develop discipline, teamwork and ambition — while creating lasting connections that support their future.
